Consultant Paediatric Surgeon – International Surgical Training Programme (ISTP)

 

Mr Gabra is a Paediatric surgeon who is based at The Great North Children's Hospital, Newcastle Upon Tyne, and specialises in Paediatric Oncology, Thoracic and Chest wall, vascular malformations and vascular access. He is actively involved as a trainer for the core and specialists trainees and has acted as both clinical and educational supervisor for both local and international trainees. On a deanery level, he serves as Training Programme Director for Paediatric surgery for the North East region Northern deanery and participates in the STC meetings on consortium level. He is a member of the board of examiners and examiner for the MRCS and Intercollegiate exam for Paediatric surgery. Currently Mr Gabra supervises a Japanese surgeon undertaking an ISTP placement within the paediatric unit.
