Willem Schenk
Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon – International Surgical Training Programme (ISTP)
Mr Schenk specialises in sports injuries and degenerative problems of the knee. His hospital has won several national quality awards and is currently considered the best hospital in the country for the treatment of neck of femur fractures. He set up the Joint Care programme with his orthopaedic team and this was a finalist in the 2010 HSJ innovation award. Alongside his clinical commitments, he currently serves as President of the East Anglican Orthopaedic Club and has been instrumental in developing a training rotation within the East of England region for orthopaedic ISTP trainees from Sri Lanka and Egypt
